2024 Roundup
I figured out how to add a blog to my website!
And it took me 30 minutes or less. ( Here's the tool I used, FYI.)
Despite a lack of time, I've decided I want to casually blog this year, alongside my column and whatever other freelance stuff I do (and, you know, my regular job). I love reading other peoples' personal websites, like this one and this one. I will be posting monthly lists here of the media I enjoy during that month, starting at the end of January.
For now, here is a roundup of some of my favorite criticism I published in 2024. And hey, if you want to hire me to write for you? My email is eaprice.work@gmail.com .
- My review of the Bright Sword by Lev Grossman (I loved it!)
- My review of Unicord Overlord from Vanillaware (it was ok!)
- My interview with Joe Richardson, the creator of Death of the Reprobate. I always like featuring medieval/early modern games as well as indie games so this was a two for one.
- Also at PC Gamer, my feature on Crush House where I played it like a nature documentary. I wrote a lot for PC Gamer last year, which was cool. I even got to preview Fields of Mistria.
- My reminiscence on Dragon Age for Unwinnable.
- My favorite piece of the year, an interview with Remy Siu and Julie Muncy about the representation of a pandemic in 1000xResist.
There were many more, including my first review of a comic and more book reviews that were more lukewarm, but this is a good sample. In the next year, I want to continue my focus on indies and, as always, do more interviews with developers. Also maybe review some solo TTRPGS? As I said, my email is open.
That's it from me for now, come back later this month for my first media list!
